Cookie policy · Tady is better

This policy lists the cookies and similar technologies (local and session storage) that Tady is better uses on tadyisbetter.com, and how you control them. Controller: Tady is better, [email protected].

How consent works

In the Czech Republic, § 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. requires your prior consent for anything stored on your device that is not strictly necessary for the service you asked for. So:

Our banner has Accept all, Reject all and Settings, equally visible. Nothing is pre-ticked, and continuing to browse is not consent.
Until you accept "Analytics", no third-party analytics script loads and nothing is sent to Google Analytics.
We store your choice (text version, categories, date, random identifier) for 12 months, then ask again. We also ask again if we add a category.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time under "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page.

Strictly necessary (no consent needed)

tady_lang (Tady, cookie): remembers the language you chose. 12 months.
tady_consent (Tady, cookie and local storage): remembers your cookie choice. 12 months.
tady_session (Tady, cookie, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite): keeps you signed in. 30 days or until you sign out.
tady_team (Tady, cookie, HttpOnly): sign-in for venue and Tady team members using the portal. 12 hours.
__cf_bm, cf_clearance and the Turnstile check (Cloudflare, only when Cloudflare needs them): telling people from bots and stopping attacks. Up to 30 minutes / up to 1 year for cf_clearance as set by Cloudflare.

Analytics (only with your consent)

_ga and _ga_… (Google Analytics 4, Google Ireland Ltd.): count visits and see which pages work. Up to 2 years in your browser; data kept by Google for 14 months.

Settings: Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics and advertising storage denied by default; the Google script is injected only after you accept; IP addresses are not stored by GA4; Google Signals off; no remarketing; no advertising cookies. If you withdraw consent, no further data is sent.

Marketing

None. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that ever changed, it would be a separate category and we would ask you first.

Storage on your device (local and session storage)

These stay in your browser, are not sent to third parties and are needed for features you use, so they don't require consent:

tady.anon: random identifier created the first time you rate a venue without an account, so your rating counts once. Our server stores only a keyed code derived from it. Until you clear site data.
tady.recent-search, tady.voice-hint: your last searches and whether you've seen the voice-search tip. Never leave your device.
tady_session_hint, tady_return_to, tady_google_pending: whether to check your session, the page to return to after signing in, and the Google sign-in step in progress.
tady_signals (session storage): what you looked at in this visit, to order suggestions; deleted when you close the tab. Never your location.
tady_push: whether you turned on notifications in the app.
tady_team_session, tady_owner_ctx, tady_maker_ctx, tady_assist: only for venue, maker and Tady team accounts in the portal.

Third parties loaded only on your action

Google Sign-In: the Google Identity Services script loads only when you tap "Continue with Google". Google may then set its own cookies on its domain under its own policy.
Map: MapLibre with OpenFreeMap tiles, without cookies.
Instagram, TikTok and YouTube: we only link to them; we don't embed their players or scripts.

The apps

The Android and iOS apps don't use cookies for analytics or advertising and contain no analytics or advertising SDKs. Your session is stored on your phone as a token.
