Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses tadyisbetter.com and the Tady apps. Provider: Tady is better ("Tady", "we"). Contact: [email protected].

1. What Tady is

Tady is better is a curated, multilingual guide to bars, restaurants and terraces in Prague, with live sport, reference prices, promotions from venues, giveaways and, where a venue allows it, reservation requests. What we write about venues is our own editorial opinion. Using Tady is free. Tady is not a party to what you buy at a venue and does not take payments.

2. Who can use Tady

• Anyone can browse the guide.
• You can create an account from 15 years of age. Hot promos, promotions involving alcohol and giveaways with alcoholic prizes are only for people aged 18 or over.
• By creating an account you confirm the information you give (including your birth year, if asked) is true.
• People who manage a venue or a maker page also accept the venue or maker terms.

3. Your account

• Sign in with email and password, with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email. Use a password you don't use elsewhere and keep it to yourself.
• Some features (reviews, hot promos, 18+ promotions) need a verified email.
• You are responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
• You can delete your account at any time in "My account".

4. Rules of conduct

Don't use Tady to:

• impersonate someone or a venue;
• harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
• post illegal, misleading or infringing content, or other people's personal data;
• make fake reservations or book without intending to go;
• scrape data, overload the service or get around security measures;
• use rumba mode or Tadyers to follow or control someone who doesn't want it;
• enter giveaways with fake, bought or automated accounts.

5. Restrictions and suspension

If you break these terms or the law, we may hide content, limit features, suspend or close your account, proportionately to what happened. We'll tell you what we decided and why (art. 17 DSA), unless the law prevents it, and you can reply to that message to ask us to review it.

6. Reservations

• A reservation on Tady is a request. You have a table only when the venue confirms it by email or in the app.
• The contract for the table, food and drinks is between you and the venue. We pass on the request and the answer.
• We don't charge for reserving. If a venue asks for a deposit, it tells you before confirming.
• If you can't come, cancel using the link in the email. Each venue's no-show policy is shown before you send the request.

7. Prices, information and promotions

Prices are indicative, in CZK including VAT, with the date we checked them; venues may change them. "Open now", places left and similar indicators come from real data, never invented numbers. Each promotion shows its validity, conditions and quota before you use it; the venue offers and honours it. Promotions can't be exchanged for cash. If you spot a mistake, tell us.

8. Rumba mode and Tadyers

Rumba mode is optional, needs your separate consent and switches itself off. Only the Tadyers you choose who are also sharing see your approximate area. You can stop sharing, block someone or withdraw consent at any time. Details: tadyisbetter.com/en/legal/privacy.

9. Giveaways

Giveaways are free: no purchase, payment or stake is needed, so they are not gambling under Act No. 186/2016 Coll. Each one has its own official rules, shown on its page, which take priority for that giveaway.

10. Your content

You keep the rights to the reviews and other content you post. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display them on Tady (website, apps, our social profiles when quoting a review with your public name) for as long as they stay published. 11. Reporting illegal content and point of contact (DSA)

Use the "Report" button next to any review, or write to [email protected] with the page address, why you think the content is illegal, your name and email and a statement that your report is accurate and made in good faith. We confirm receipt, decide carefully and tell you the outcome. Single point of contact for users and authorities (arts 11 and 12 DSA): [email protected], in Czech or English.

12. Intellectual property

Tady's texts, photos, design and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may share links and short quotes with attribution. Venue names and logos belong to their owners.

13. Availability and liability

We work to keep Tady available and accurate, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that every detail is current. We are liable as the law provides, in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence; we are not responsible for the service a venue provides or for reservations the venue did not confirm. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.

14. Complaints and disputes

Write to [email protected] first; we reply within 30 days. If you are a consumer and we can't agree, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, adr.coi.cz, for out-of-court resolution. Czech law applies; this does not take away the protection of the law of the country where you live as a consumer. Courts: those of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to the courts available to you as a consumer.

15. Changes

We publish each version with its number and date. We'll tell you about important changes by email or in the app at least 14 days before they apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.
