Review guidelines

Version 1.0 · in force from 6 November 2026

We want reviews on Tady to help you choose where to go tonight. That only works if they come from real people about real visits, with rules that apply equally to everyone, venues included. Operator: Tady is better.

1. Two ways to have your say

  • Rating: anyone, with or without an account, can pick one of four levels: Cracking, Good, Meh or Nope. One per venue and device (without an account) or per venue and account. You can change or remove it whenever you like. Ratings only count towards the percentage and the total.
  • Review: only for Tady accounts with a verified email. A rating plus 1 to 3 tags (for example "Great beer", "Slow service") and optional text up to 240 characters. One per venue and account; editable for 24 hours; you can always delete it. Shown with your public name: first name or alias plus initial ("Lucy M.").

2. How we check reviews

This is the information required by § 5 of Act No. 634/1992 Coll. on consumer protection:

  • Ratings: we do not check that you have been to the venue. We limit abuse: one per device or account and venue, and a cap on ratings per hour from the same connection.
  • Reviews: need an account with a verified email. The "Verified visit" badge appears only if that account has a completed booking at that venue made through Tady. A review without the badge is not fake; we just can't confirm the visit.
  • Percentage ("92% recommend it · 48 ratings"): the share of ratings in the two top levels (Cracking and Good) out of all four, from guests and accounts alike, without weighting or filtering, shown only from 5 ratings. Below that you'll see "Be one of the first to rate it".
  • Order: newest first.
  • Nothing is for sale: we don't pay or reward anyone for reviewing, and no venue can pay to remove, hide, reorder or feature reviews. Being a partner venue changes none of this.
  • We never hide a review because it is negative or because the venue asks us to.

3. What's not allowed

  • Reviewing a venue you haven't been to, on someone's behalf, or in exchange for anything (discount, free drink, money).
  • Reviewing your own venue, your family's, your employer's or a competitor's. People with access to a venue's portal must not rate or review that venue.
  • Insults, harassment, threats, discrimination or hate speech.
  • Other people's personal data: full names, phone numbers, photos, number plates or anything that identifies a specific person, staff included.
  • False statements of fact or rumours presented as facts. Tell us what you experienced.
  • Spam, links, advertising or text that isn't about the venue.
  • Anything illegal.

4. Moderation

  • Reviews go live immediately; we don't pre-screen each one. We act when we receive a report or spot a problem.
  • If a review or reply breaks these guidelines or the law, we hide it. In serious or repeated cases we may restrict or suspend the account (Terms of Use, section 5).
  • We explain our decision (art. 17 DSA): we tell you by email what we hid, which rule or law it breaks, the facts we relied on, that a person decided (we don't use automated moderation) and how to appeal.
  • Appeal: reply to that email within 6 months. Where possible a different team member reviews it, and we send you the final decision. If we got it wrong, the review goes back up.

5. Venue replies

  • The venue can reply once to each review, up to 300 characters, from its portal. The reply is shown underneath, labelled "Venue's reply".
  • The same guidelines apply. The venue must not disclose booking or personal details (exact date, full name, phone number, what was ordered).
  • A reply can be hidden like a review, with the same explanation and appeal.

6. Reports (notice and action, art. 16 DSA)

  • Every review has a "Report" button; no account needed. Pick a reason (spam, offensive, looks fake, contains personal data, other) and add a note if you like (up to 500 characters).
  • If you leave your email, we confirm receipt and tell you what we decided and why. Without an email we still review it but can't let you know.
  • If you believe the content is illegal, explain why in the note or write to [email protected] with the page address, your name and email and a statement that the information is accurate and given in good faith. For child sexual abuse material you don't need to identify yourself.
  • We review reports without undue delay, usually within 3 working days. Until then the review stays visible unless the risk is obvious.
  • Venues report like anyone else, with no priority. If someone repeatedly sends manifestly unfounded reports, we may stop processing their reports for a reasonable period, after a warning (art. 23 DSA).

7. How long we keep what

  • Ratings: while the venue is on Tady or until you remove yours. Without an account we keep only a code derived from a random identifier on your device, not who you are.
  • Published reviews: until you delete them or your account.
  • Reviews hidden by moderation: 12 months, to handle appeals and complaints; then deleted.
  • Reports: 12 months after they are resolved.
  • Counters (number of ratings per level): indefinitely; they are anonymous.

8. Where reviews appear, and licence

Published reviews are public: they appear on the venue page and in the apps, and search engines may show a summary (for example the percentage and the number of ratings). By posting you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show them on Tady for as long as they stay published. You remain the author and can delete them at any time.
